Dave carries out the inspection

The office can answer your initial questions and arrange the booking. Dave personally turns up to do the inspection, with no subcontracting or handoff to a different inspector on the day.

Dave is publicly listed by RPII under Little Monsters, which is also a registered PIPA Inspection Body, and works as part of the Monster Event Hire business. Over the years he has inspected bouncy castles, slides, obstacle courses and other equipment within his qualifications. He can repair and reskin inflatable rodeo beds, but he does not inspect the mechanical mechanism. For inspection and ADIPS certification of the complete rodeo device, use an ADIPS-registered inspection body.

From maintenance and repairs into inspection

Dave's background in the industry began with maintenance and electrical work. He went on to repair inflatables and fans, moved into manufacturing and developed the hands-on knowledge that now informs his inspection work.

That practical route connects the different parts of the service today: PIPA testing, in-house inspections, inflatable repairs and RPII operator courses. It also means customers deal with somebody who understands how the equipment is built, used and maintained, not only how its paperwork is completed.

Hands-on inspections

Dave measures and tests every unit himself, records the result and explains any work required. Where practical, PAT testing and minor repairs can be handled during the same visit.

The service covers inflatable hire companies, event businesses, schools, leisure centres and MOD sites.

Based in Havant, travelling for suitable bookings

Dave works from Havant, Hampshire, with regular inspection work across Hampshire and Surrey. Travel farther afield is available where the equipment list and journey make sense; recent work has included a six-day testing visit in South Wales.

Work can take place at your premises or, by arrangement, at the Havant base. Schools, leisure centres and MOD sites are welcome.
